Viracon brought rough sketches. Those early ideas were carried through design and development to a site built for architects and building professionals, scoring 100 for SEO, 85 for accessibility, and 83+ for performance on desktop in Google Lighthouse.

Architects build a glass specification step by step: six configurations from monolithic to triple insulating, substrate and thickness, interlayer, Low-E coatings, and silkscreen printing. Results come from Fenestra Pro’s performance engine, with visible light transmittance, reflectance, U-value, SHGC, and light-to-solar-gain ratio to sort, filter, and compare side by side.
Turn complex product rules into simple choices.
Which coatings can sit on which surface, which interlayers suit which configurations, and where printing can go are all handled as people make their choices, so they only see valid options. A single search compares many combinations at once, runs them in parallel, shows progress, and fails safely rather than showing incomplete results.

In the past year, 3,810 people opened the configurator and 1,712 ran 5,135 searches. 661 viewed a submittal for their specification. Across the site, 5,341 people submitted forms, including contact and sample requests, 14,323 times. Built-in analytics show Viracon which configurations and coatings specifiers are actually considering.

The tool was shaped through rounds of design review with Viracon’s product team. When Fenestra Pro introduced surface-specific coatings in its API, the configurator was rebuilt to support it, with automated tests covering the trickiest rules.
